This law student schools a cop who stops him for carrying a gun.  I don’t carry a gun, but clearly I need to be way better at listing off court cases like this.  Most amusing part:

Cop:  What do you have under your shirt?

Student:  Uh, suspenders.  Keep my pants up!

Also good:

Cop:  [Stopping people carrying guns] is just common practice.

Student:  Yup, it’s illegal common practice.

Well as a hopeful future law student, I find this extra exciting!  This level of knowledge and sheer defiance of accepted yet illegal practice will be something for me to aspire to.

After reading comments on this story in the news, I have to say that people who think this guy is just making some cop’s job harder have got their priorities backwards.  So this is my unasked-for rant two cents:

If you’re a cop and you get upset about someone asserting their rights, I think you need to get a different job.  You’re not a stormtrooper, you’re a public servant.  It’s not our job as citizens to make it easy for public servants to step on our rights and treat us like criminals.  It is our job to watchfully maintain our rights and yes, give cops a hard time if they overstep their bounds.  Otherwise, the abuse will continue.  Where are your priorities?
