Okay, I don’t know all of you kind followers too well, and I’m usually skeptical of these online petition thingies. But I had to share this one because it’s an urban gardener’s worst nightmare (after a plague of locusts, maybe). I can’t stand to think that the government can just come rip up my garden at any time because it’s not in compliance with someone’s rules about how to grow grass (I have no front lawn either — it’s all corn, beans, pumpkins, radishes, peppers and berry bushes and I’m quite proud of it). It’s none of my neighbors’ business what I grow, and it’s damn sure none of Uncle Sam’s.

so, rant tl;dr: I hope this thing gets signatures but more than that, I realize the need for all of us who grow our own food to learn what laws or rules are in place and to be ready for legal battles to defend our way of life.
